Botafogo upset Joinville on the road to regain the lead in the championship series. Botafogo F.R. forced 21 Joinville turnovers. It was a good game for power forward Rodrigo-Bahia Bispo (206-79) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Wesley Russell (193-93, college: Ohio Christian) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Russell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91) answered with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Andre Pereira (206-79) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Joinville. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
