Hermosillo upset Guaymas away from home to secure the title series birth. Rayos de Hermosillo outrebounded Ostioneros de Guaymas 52-36 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Myke Henry (198-92, college: De Paul) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. Paul Reyes produced 22 points and 6 assists and American forward BJ West (211-89, college: Jackson St.) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Rayos de Hermosillo and five Ostioneros de Guaymas players scored in double figures.
