Obregon outgunned Hermosillo for the second consecutive victory in the championship series. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon forced 29 Rayos de Hermosillo turnovers. Strangely Rayos de Hermosillo outrebounded Halcones de Ciudad Obregon 59-44 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by Rayos de Hermosillo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) who had a triple-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 15 assists and 8 steals. The other American import forward Michael Glover (203-87, college: Iona) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Myke Henry (198-92, college: De Paul) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) added 23 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
