Regular Season Round 15: Indios SFM - Reales LV 99-104

The game between second ranked Indios SFM (11-5) and sixth ranked Reales LV (7-10) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Indios SFM was defeated by Reales LV in a tough game in San Francisco 99-104. Indios SFM was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 28-22 charge of Reales LV, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for guard Juan Coronado (193-83) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) answered with 29 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and American point guard Ashton Gibbs (188-90, college: Pittsburgh) added 28 points and 4 assists in the effort for Indios SFM. Four Reales LV and five Indios SFM players scored in double figures. Indios SFM's coach David Diaz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Reales LV moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Leones SD. Indios SFM at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Reales LV will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Indios SFM will play on the road against Huracanes PP in Puerto Plata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
