Quarter-Finals Round 3: Quebradillas - San German 100-72

Quebradillas knocked down San German to surge ahead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Piratas. Atleticos was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Piratas outrebounded Atleticos 43-31 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Atleticos were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 assists. His fellow American import forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: Rhode Island) helped adding 18 points. Five Piratas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Paul Graham (196-85, college: Florida Atlantic) with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
