Regular Season Round 16: Huracanes PP - Indios SFM 90-79

The game between Top Four teams took place in Puerto Plata. Third ranked host Huracanes PP (11-6) defeated their biggest opponent Indios SFM (11-6) 90-79. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-79. Huracanes PP made 31-of-39 free shots (79.5 percent) during the game. Naturalized American guard Maurice Carter (183-83, college: Robert Morris) fired 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) produced 20 points and 4 assists and Alejo Rodriguez added 16 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Huracanes PP have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Indios SFM. Indios SFM lost third consecutive game.
