Regular Season Round 17: Metros STGO - Reales LV 98-90

Leader Metros STGO delivered the fourteenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Reales LV (7-11) 98-90 in Santiago. The game without a history. Metros STGO led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American Robert Glenn (203-89, college: IUPUI) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. Point guard Adris De-Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) contributed with 20 points and 8 assists for the winners. Naturalized American Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Juan Coronado (193-83) added 12 points and 10 assists in the effort for Reales LV. Four Metros STGO and five Reales LV players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Metros STGO maintains first place with 14-4 record. Reales LV at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Metros STGO will play against Huracanes PP (#3) in Puerto Plata in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Reales LV will play at home against the league's second-placed Indios SFM and hopes to get back on the winning track.
