Regular Season Round 18: Soles SD - Caneros LR 87-79

We should not miss a home victory of eighth ranked Soles SD (5-15) over higher ranked Caneros LR (10-9) 87-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Caneros LR. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-19 Caneros LR's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 87-79 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Brayan Martinez (203-91) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Manuel Guzman (204-82, college: Bemidji St.) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Spanish Orlando Sanchez (206-88, college: St.John's) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Soles SD maintains eighth position with 5-15 record. Caneros LR at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Soles SD will have a break next round. Caneros LR will play at home against Titanes Licey (#7) and hope to win that game.
