The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Knox Raiders as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Knox Raiders smashed 12th ranked Whittlesea City in Wantirna South 118-63. Knox Raiders dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Whittlesea City's 36. Knox Raiders had a 40-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Whittlesea City's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Knox Raiders made 11 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Adrian Tomada who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Christopher Kaba (203-88, college: N.Colorado) contributed with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Knox Raiders players scored in double figures.
