Semi-Finals Game 1: Aguada - Arecibo 87-86

Aguada narrowly defeated Arecibo at home court in the opener. Capitanes were trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-20 charge of Santeros, which allowed them to win the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Santeros looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Brazilian-Spanish center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-86) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas, agency: BeoBasket) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) added 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Capitanes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
