We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Kilsyth Cobras (8-13) were defeated at home by seventh ranked Frankston Blues (8-13) 88-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. Frankston Blues led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alex Francis (198-91, college: Bryant, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Nate Buss (206-92, college: N.Iowa) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Frankston Blues' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Power forward Auryn MacMillan (204-87, college: Gardner-Webb) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Chris Patton (208-91, college: Cal-Riverside) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Frankston Blues and five Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. Frankston Blues moved-up to sixth place in League. Frankston Blues will face higher ranked Dandenong Rangers (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kilsyth Cobras will play against Tigers (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
