Second Stage Round 2: Huracanes PP - Indios SFM 84-80

An interesting game for Huracanes PP (1-2) which hosted in Puerto Plata Indios SFM (1-2). Huracanes PP managed to get a 4-point victory 84-80. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-8. But Indios SFM won second period 25-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naturalized American guard Maurice Carter (183-83, college: Robert Morris) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 6 assists. American forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Huracanes PP players scored in double figures. Naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) replied with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Indios SFM. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Huracanes PP will face Metros STGO in Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
