Semi-Finals Game 3: Fajardo - Quebradillas 85-79

Fajardo topped Quebradillas to cut the deficit in the semifinal series. Piratas were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cariduros made 8 blocks. It was a good game for American forward Reginald Buckner (206-91, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. The former international guard Miguel-Ali Berdiel (198-83, college: Valparaiso) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. Cariduros' coach Allans Colon used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: Rhode Island) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83) added 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Piratas. Five Cariduros and four Piratas players scored in double figures.
