Second Stage Round 2: Huracanes PP - Metros STGO 83-97

An interesting game for Metros STGO (3-1) which played road game in Puerto Plata against Huracanes PP (1-2). Metros STGO managed to get a 14-point victory 97-83. Metros STGO dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Huracanes PP's 40. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American Robert Glenn (203-89, college: IUPUI) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American swingman Luis Jacobo (196-91, college: IPFW, agency: Mansfield and Associates) produced 21 points and 4 assists and American forward Aaron Jones (206-93, college: Mississippi) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Metros STGO and four Huracanes PP players scored in double figures. Huracanes PP's coach let to play twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metros STGO will have a break next round. Huracanes PP will play again on the road against Metros STGO in Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
