Important game to mention about took place in San Cristobal. Titanes Licey (2-0) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Caneros LR (1-2) 86-83 in the game for the first place. Titanes Licey made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Caneros LR turnovers. American players dominated the game. Guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) scored 22 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Brian Williams (208-87, college: Tennessee) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Titanes Licey players scored in double figures. Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Austin Freeman (194-89, college: Georgetown) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Titanes Licey will again play against Caneros LR in La Romana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caneros LR will have a break next round.
