There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Cyclones (5-10) won against higher ranked Capitals (8-6) in Rockhampton 75-70 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for guard Katrina Clifford (167-87) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Jordan Reynolds (180-95, college: Tennessee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Five Cyclones players scored in double figures. American guard Dlesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and Heidi Freeburn (-86) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her eight free throws) in the effort for Capitals. Cyclones moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Capitals dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Cyclones will face Clippers (#12) in Cotton Tree in the next round.
