Rather expected game when 6th ranked Tigers (5-14) were smashed by fourth ranked Sydney Uni S. (12-8) in Melbourne 77-54 on Sunday. Sydney Uni S. forced 20 Tigers turnovers. Quite impressive performance for point guard Sarah Graham (163-89) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 steals. Power forward Shanae Greaves (183-93) contributed with 3 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Four Sydney Uni S. players scored in double figures. Sydney Uni S.'s coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international center Elyse Penaluna (193-88) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 8 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 blocks in the effort for Tigers. Newly promoted Sydney Uni S. maintains fourth place in League with 12-8 record. Loser Tigers keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Sydney Uni S. will face Hobart Chargers (#5) at home in the next round. Tigers will play against Sabres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
