Bottom-ranked Colon managed to get a fourth victory on Monday night. This time they edged twelfth-ranked Marne 71-68. The winners were led by American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) who scored that evening 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Federico Della Mea (187-92) supported him with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by American center Tyronne McNeal (211-87, college: Miami Dade CC) did not help to save the game for Marne. Forward Andres Pineiro (187-89) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Colon (4-10) moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Marne dropped to the bottom position with ten games lost. Colon will meet higher ranked Verdirrojo (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Marne will play against Tabare having rather not much hope for a victory.
