Very significant was Metros STGO's (#1, 4-1) victory against Huracanes PP (1-4) 88-81. Metros STGO made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Huracanes PP turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Adris De-Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Four Metros STGO players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) who recorded 28 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American guard Maurice Carter (183-83, college: Robert Morris) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Huracanes PP's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Metros STGO will meet Indios SFM in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Huracanes PP will play against Indios SFM and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
