Second Stage Round 4: Indios SFM - Metros STGO 93-105

An exciting game was played in San Francisco. First ranked Metros STGO faced their biggest opponent Indios SFM. Guests from Santiago (5-1) defeated host Indios SFM (2-4) 105-93. The game was mostly controlled by Metros STGO. Indios SFM was better in second period 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Metros STGO forced 20 Indios SFM turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) who scored that evening 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and point guard Adris De-Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Five Metros STGO players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds by Cuban center Ismael Romero (203-91, agency: Paris Global Sports) did not help to save the game for Indios SFM. Naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) added 29 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Metros STGO maintains first position with 5-1 record. Indios SFM at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Metros STGO's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Huracanes PP in Puerto Plata and it will be for sure the game of the week. Indios SFM will play again on the road against the league's leader Metros STGO in Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
