Finals Game 1: Quebradillas - Arecibo 96-89

Quebradillas outgunned Arecibo in the championship series opener. The game without a history. Piratas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 8 assists. The former international Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) contributed with 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and the former international point guard Denis Clemente (183-86, college: Kansas St.) added 20 points in the effort for Capitanes. Five Piratas and four Capitanes players scored in double figures.
