Finals Game 3: Quebradillas - Arecibo 85-77

Quebradillas regained the lead in the championship series. They topped Arecibo for 2-1 advantage. Capitanes trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 18 after three quarters before a 22-12 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 77-85 at the end of the game. Piratas made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: Rhode Island) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the former international swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) added 19 points and 5 assists in the effort for Capitanes. Four Piratas and five Capitanes players scored in double figures.
