Lebanon outscored South Korea for the opening win at the tournament. Wael Arakji posted 22 points to pace the hosts. Lebanon accumulated a 40:31 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 13-point mark heading into the fourth frame. South Korea sank 25 points in the final stanza but could not avert the loss. Mohamad Haidar and Fadi El Khatib had 16 points each in the victory. Sek Eun Oh and Dong Lim answered with 16 points each for South Korea.
