Virgin Islands upset Brazil for the second victory in Group A. Natalie Day came up with 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge. Virgin Islands posted a 28:23 halftime lead. Brazil erased the deficit in the second half and forced overtime. But Virgin Islands used a 9:2 run in the extra period to seal the win. Imani Tate had 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Raphaella Monteiro answered with 15 points and 9 boards for Brazil.
