Argentina held Puerto Rico to only 4 points in the first term to take a 9-point lead. Puerto Rico pulled within 4 points at halftime 22:18. Argentina stretched the lead at 8-point mark heading into the fourth frame. Puerto Rico fought bravely in the final stanza but could not avoid the defeat. Ornella Santana delivered 6 points and 10 rebounds for the home side. Ali Gibson replied with 10 points for Puerto Rico.
