Syria overcame India to clinch their playoff birth. Ivan Todorovic scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the winners as they finished third in Group A. India dominated in the first half. They grabbed a 51:35 halftime lead. But Syria turned things around in the second half. They went on a strong 52:27 run after the big break and secured the crucial victory. Michael Madanly and Tarek Aljabi netted 18 points each in the win. Aravind Annadurai replied with 20 points for India.
