Worth to mention about the upset in a game between TNT Ka Tropa (4-3) and Globalport (2-4), which took place in Pasig. 6th ranked TNT Ka Tropa lost to ninth ranked Globalport in a road game 112-119 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TNT Ka Tropa. Globalport forced 20 TNT Ka Tropa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. TNT Ka Tropa was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized American point guard Stanley Pringle (184-87, college: Penn St., agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) replied with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Roger-Ray Pogoy (189-92) added 26 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for TNT Ka Tropa. Five Globalport and four TNT Ka Tropa players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Globalport maintains ninth position with 2-4 record. Loser TNT Ka Tropa keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Globalport will face Alaska Aces (#11) in Makati in the next round.
