Mexico jumped to a 20:7 lead after the opening frame. US Virgin Islands pulled within 12 points at the final intermission but it was not enough. Mexico held their opponents to 16 points in the final stanza and rolled to the victory. Hector Hernandez delivered 13 points and 11 rebounds for Mexico. Walter Hodge replied with 20 points for US Virgin Islands.
