USA clinched Gold at Fiba AmeriCup. They overcame hosting Argentina in the championship clash in Cordoba. Jameel Warney came off the bench to score 21 points as he led the effort. Argentina accumulated a 42:27 halftime lead. However the North American side picked up the tempo in the second half. They dropped 23 points in the third quarter to reduce the deficit at 6 points. USA unleashed 31 points in the fourth frame and triumphed at the end. Darrun Hilliard accounted for 15 points for the champions. Nicolas Brussino replied with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Argentina. Facundo Campazzo had 15 points in the loss.
