Barcelona overcame Piratas in the opener. It looked good early as Piratas took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Barcelona had a 22-15 second period charge getting the lead and Piratas were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-93. Barcelona made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Piratas were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Raul Cardenas (190-82, college: Faulkner) nailed 27 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Sam Prescott (190-90, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: SDJ Sports) accounted for 24 points and 5 rebounds.
