Regular Season Round 1: Chalon - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 62-82

Chalon/Saor was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Pau 82-62 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Pau-Lacq-Orthez led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Chalon/Saor's players. Quite impressive performance for point guard Elie-Franck Okobo (188-97) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 assists. The former international center Alain Koffi (207-83, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Pau-Lacq-Orthez players scored in double figures. American forward James Farr (208-92, college: Xavier) answered with 8 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Cameroonian Jeremy Nzeulie (188-91) added 11 points in the effort for Chalon/Saor. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will face JSF Nanterre (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chalon/Saor will play against Limoges CSP Elite and hope to win that game.
