Piratas outgunned Barcelona to force the decisive fifth game in the semifinal series. Piratas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Willie Clayton (203-92, college: Georgia St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international center Carlos Delgado (202-90) who added 25 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Piratas' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American power forward Keith Bowman (201-91, college: Menlo, agency: SDJ Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Sam Prescott (190-90, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: SDJ Sports) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Barcelona players scored in double figures.
