An interesting game was played in Praha where GBA Sparta (#6) beat host Sokol Prazky (#8) 68-58 on Friday evening. GBA Sparta forced 20 Sokol Prazky turnovers and outrebounded them 49-22 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Marek Welsch (180-99) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Slovakian center Maros Zeliznak (208-99) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Center Tomas Belohradsky (200-97) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and center Jan Stepanek (190-83) scored 12 points. Sokol Prazky's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. GBA Sparta will meet at home Slavoj BK Litomerice (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sokol Prazky's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Praha to the arena Sokol Zizkov.
