Regular Season Round 2: TTT Riga - Dynamo M. 77-52

There was a small surprise when top-ranked Latvian TTT Riga (3-0) crushed at home bottom-ranked Russian Dynamo Moscow (0-3) 77-52 on Friday. TTT Riga made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game, while Dynamo Moscow only scored ten points from the stripe. TTT Riga forced 20 Dynamo Moscow turnovers. Dynamo Moscow was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for forward Gunta Basko-Melnbarde (181-80, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 13 points and 6 steals for the winners. Forward Viktoriia Medvedeva (183-91) replied with 16 points and American guard Lindsay Allen (173-95, college: Notre Dame) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Dynamo Moscow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory TTT Riga went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Good Angels and Lulea Basket. Loser Dynamo Moscow still keeps top with three games lost.
