BBC Bayreuth's coach Raoul Korner allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American Barry Stewart (193-88, college: Mississippi St.) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Jared Jordan (187-84, college: Marist) scored 9 points and 8 assists. BBC Bayreuth will face Mitteldeutscher BC (#7) in Weissenfels in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Walter Tigers will play on the road against ALBA Berlin (#1) and hope to win that game.
