Very predictable result when Basketball Nymburk (3-0) smashed on the road SBS Ostrava (0-3) 105-56 on Sunday. Basketball Nymburk dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to SBS Ostrava's 38 and made 34-of-41 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while SBS Ostrava only scored nine points from the stripe. Basketball Nymburk forced 24 SBS Ostrava turnovers and outrebounded them 44-26 including 20 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: VCU) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. Belgian center Kyara Linskens (189-96, agency: LBM Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Four Basketball Nymburk players scored in double figures. Coach Daniel Kurucz's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Anezka Kopecka (181-0) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Adela Smutna (183-99) added 11 points respectively. Basketball Nymburk will meet at home LOKO Trutnov (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SBS Ostrava will play against USK Praha and hopes to get finally their first victory.
