Very predictable result when Basketball Nymburk (3-0) smashed on the road SBS Ostrava (0-3) 105-56 on Sunday. Basketball Nymburk dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to SBS Ostrava's 38 and made 34-of-41 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while SBS Ostrava only scored nine points from the stripe. Basketball Nymburk forced 24 SBS Ostrava turnovers and outrebounded them 44-26 including 20 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: VCU) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. Belgian center Kyara Linskens (189-96, agency: LBM Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was Anezka Kopecka (181-0) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Adela Smutna (183-99) added 11 points respectively. Basketball Nymburk will meet at home LOKO Trutnov (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SBS Ostrava will play against USK Praha and hopes to get finally their first victory.
