Regular Season Round 3: Tarragona - Roser 73-67

No shocking result in a game when Tarragona (1-0) beat at home Roser (0-3) 73-67 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-14. But Roser won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Tarragona won last quarter 22-17. Tarragona outrebounded Roser 45-27 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for center David Mesa (202-80) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. American David Shepard (201-94, college: Lindenwood-Bellev., agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Joan Gavalda answered with 15 points and point guard Aleix Pujadas (195-96) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Roser. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
