Regular Season Round 2: Svitavy - CEZ Nymburk 80-90

There was no surprise when Basketbal Svitavy (0-2) was defeated at home by CEZ Nymburk (2-0) 90-80. American swingman Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) notched 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international center Petr Benda (203-82) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Garret Kerr (194-92, college: Univ.Sciences) did not help to save the game for Basketbal Svitavy. The former international guard Pavel Slezak (186-84) added 17 points for the hosts. Five CEZ Nymburk and four Basketbal Svitavy players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CEZ Nymburk will have a break next round. Basketbal Svitavy will play on the road against BK Opava (#1) and hope to win that game.
