Regular Season Round 3: Kumamoto V. - Cyberdyne IR 85-65

The biggest surprise of round 3 in B League D2 took place in Kumamoto where host Kumamoto V. (1-2) crushed Cyberdyne IR (2-1) 85-65 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Kumamoto V. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) who scored 23 points and 9 assists. Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Andrew Warren (196-87, college: Bradley) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cyberdyne IR will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Kumamoto V. will try to continue on its current victory against Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba.
