Very important is a home loss of Ostrava (2-1) against Sokol Slapanice (2-1) on Sunday night. Host Ostrava was defeated by Sokol Slapanice in Ostrava 72-62. It was an exceptional evening for forward Roman Zachrla (200-87, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Ivo Pavlicik (193-93) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Guard Michal Palat (194-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Martin Horkel (197) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Ostrava in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sokol Slapanice's next round opponent will be Pardubice (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. Ostrava will play against Olomouc SK (#9) and hope to win that game.
