Regular Season Round 2: TLU/Kalev - Rapla 56-78

The game in Tallinn supposed to be also worth to mention about. Rapla (2-1) played at the court of TLU/Kalev (1-1). Rapla smashed TLU/Kalev 78-56. It looked good early as TLU/Kalev took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rapla had a 27-10 second period charge getting the lead and TLU/Kalev was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 56-78. Rapla forced 19 TLU/Kalev turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Latvian power forward Maris Ziedins (203-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Nolan Cressler (195-94, college: Vanderbilt, agency: 3Eye) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Rapla players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Kristo Saage (186-85) replied with 19 points and 4 assists and the former international point guard Reimo Tamm (188-84) added 10 points in the effort for TLU/Kalev. TLU/Kalev's coach Raido Roos gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Rapla will play against Parnu (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. TLU/Kalev will have a break next round.
