Regular Season Round 3: BK Opava - Svitavy 81-80

The most exciting game of round 3 in the NBL took place in Opava. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of Basketbal Svitavy (0-3) to BK Opava (3-0) 81-80 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was a good game for the former international point guard Jakub Sirina (186-87, agency: Octagon Europe) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points and 9 assists. The former international guard Radim Klecka (189-90) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Garret Kerr (194-92, college: Univ.Sciences) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import point guard Bryan Smithson (183-85, college: NC-Asheville, agency: HMS) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Basketbal Svitavy. Four Basketbal Svitavy players scored in double figures. BK Opava are looking forward to face USK Praha (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Basketbal Svitavy will play against BK Pardubice (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
