Regular Season Round 1: MZT Skopje - Karpos Sokoli 83-85

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of MZT Skopje (0-1) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were edged by Karpos Sokoli (1-0) 85-83. Karpos Sokoli looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by MZT Skopje's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Darko Sokolov (189-86) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 assists. The former international power forward Kiril Nikolovski (210-88) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Bojan Trajkovski (208-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) answered with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and American point guard Eric Garcia (183-94, college: Wofford) added 13 points in the effort for MZT Skopje. Five Karpos Sokoli and four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. MZT Skopje's coach Aleksandar Todorov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Karpos Sokoli is looking forward to face Strumica (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. MZT Skopje's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Shkupi.
