Quite upsetting was Bayern Muenchen's (#1) home defeat in a game versus top-ranked s Oliver Baskets 84-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. It was a key game for the top position in the league. s Oliver Baskets made 28-of-35 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Bayern Muenchen outrebounded s Oliver Baskets 32-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Maurice Stuckey (187-90) fired 21 points for the winners. International forward Robin Benzing (208-89) chipped in 19 points and 4 steals (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!). Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. Serbian Vladimir Lucic (201-89, agency: BeoBasket) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American center Devin Booker (205-91, college: Clemson) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. s Oliver Baskets have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bayreuth. Loser Bayern Muenchen dropped to the fifth place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. s Oliver Baskets will meet at home bottom-ranked Walter Tigers (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
