Very important is a road loss of Lukoil Acad. (1-1) against Balkan (1-0) on Saturday night. Visiting Lukoil Acad. was defeated by Balkan in a tough game in Botevgrad 65-69. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Pavel Ivanov (200-88, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 25 points during the contest. American power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and the former international Hristo Nikolov (200-85, agency: 011 Sports) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Lukoil Acad.'s coach Sharon Drucker rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Balkan will play against Cherno More (#8) in Varna in the next round where they are favorite. Lukoil Acad. will have a break next round.
