Regular Season Round 2: Ovarense - Electrico FC 66-56

Another upset was a game between Electrico FC (0-2) and Ovarense (1-2), which took place in Ovar. Electrico FC lost to Ovarense in a road game 56-66 on Saturday. Electrico FC was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 11-point lead after three quarters before a 31-10 charge of Ovarense, which allowed them to win the game. They made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Electrico FC was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for guard Kyle Anderson (190-93, college: Delaware) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Will Perry (180-94, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Ovarense players scored in double figures. Center Brian Stone (203-94, college: Malone) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Jamal Hunter (203-93, college: Jacksonville St.) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Electrico FC. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ovarense will face Barreirense (#12) in Barreiro in the next round. Electrico FC will play at home against Terceira and hopes to get finally their first victory.
