Regular Season Round 4: Challans - Souffel 87-74

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Souffelweyersheim (3-1) lost on the road to sixth ranked Vendee Challans (3-1) 87-74 on Saturday. Vendee Challans looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Jordan Barham (193-94, college: Davidson) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. American point guard Fabyon Harris (180-91, college: Texas A&M) replied with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Valentin Correia (192-93) added 16 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Souffelweyersheim. Vendee Challans moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Souffelweyersheim. Vendee Challans will face La Charite (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Souffelweyersheim will play against Saint-Quentin (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
