Regular Season Round 4: MBK Ruzomb. - UKF Nitra 99-44

Bottom-ranked UKF Nitra is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their third consecutive match to second ranked MBK Ruzomberok (3-1) 99-44 on Saturday evening. MBK Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to UKF Nitra's 24. MBK Ruzomberok forced 31 UKF Nitra turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by UKF Nitra's players. It was a very good performance for international forward Miroslava Mistinova (182-97) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. French guard Melissa Diawakana (170-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 assists and 9 steals for the winners. Viktoria Feherova (175-99) replied with 10 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Laura Horvatova (166-97) added 7 points in the effort for UKF Nitra. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MBK Ruzomberok maintains second position with 3-1 record behind leader Good Angels. Loser UKF Nitra still closes the standings with three games lost. MBK Ruzomberok will face Piestanske C. (#3) in Piestany in the next round, which may be the game of the day. UKF Nitra will play at home against BAM Poprad (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
