Regular Season Round 6: KP Brno - Sokol HK 74-60

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove (5-1) against fifth ranked KP Brno (4-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Sokol Hradec Kralove was defeated by KP Brno in Brno 74-60. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Sokol Hradec Kralove. It was a great shooting night for KP Brno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Gabriela Andelova (173-96) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. The former international center Edita Sujanova (190-85) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four KP Brno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Lenka Sipova (184-88) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Andrea Ovsikova (178-89) added 15 points respectively. Sokol Hradec Kralove's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KP Brno have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with BLK Praha. Loser Sokol Hradec Kralove keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Nymburk. KP Brno will meet SBS Ostrava (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sokol Hradec Kralove will play against MK Technic (#10) and hope to secure a win.
