LEB Gold top team - Melilla Baloncesto (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Palma (2-2) 87-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Palma. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Melilla Baloncesto's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-16 extending their advantage to 15 points. Center Fran Guerra (214-92) fired 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Miguel Servera (198-92) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Four Melilla Baloncesto players scored in double figures. Melilla Baloncesto's coach Alejandro Alcoba used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Carles Bivia (189-85) produced 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Lithuanian center Gediminas Zyle (210-88, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side.
